We had so much fun doing this unit! Part of our goals was to discuss what a plant is and then making different types of plants. We also tried to do Acrostic Tree Poems which were really difficult for the kids but they did a great job!
I love how you are tying science, art and writing all together! We seem to do that in kindergarten more often than some other grades, but it is still a great reminder of this spring and Earth Day coming up. I can see why the acrostic poems were difficult but if we came up with ideas as a class, it might be great! Thanks for sharing your ideas!
Thanks for sharing this idea! I really like how you found a fun and exciting way to keep students engaged while integrating art with other areas! I am going to be doing my plant unit with my kids next week and look forward to trying this out with them!
